Adz is the co-founder and lead facilitator at Root Perceptions integrative entheogenic psycho-spiritual & dependency healing. A qualified Drug & Alcohol and Mental Health Support Worker, a dedicated Entheogen Practitioner and Transformation Doula, Adz blends deep presence with clinical responsibility — all rooted in his own lived transformation.

His journey with Ibogaine and Iboga began in 2014, when he shed over a decade-long battle and dependency with heroin, opioids, and later alcohol abuse. This wasn’t just a detox — it was a spiritual reset. Since then, he’s devoted himself to the path of true healing: mentoring under some of the most respected names in the global medicine space working with Ibogaine, Iboga and extracts, Bufo Alvarius (5-MeO-DMT), and Australian-spirited Changa & Tryptamines — integrating these practices with his frontline support work knowledge.

Adz is trained in First Aid, CPR & AED in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, bringing clinical awareness and safety into each step of the journey. He has trained with, mentored, and worked alongside pioneer figures such as Dr. Francisco Lopez Martinez, Shea Prueger, Asha Caravelli, Apolo, Sara Glatt, and the late Narina Walls — all of whom helped shape his approach to holding space with integrity, safety, and compassion.

Before stepping fully into the healing path, Adz spent a few years behind the bar and over a decade in the high-end world of prestige auto smash repair — working with some of the sharpest minds in the trade, and eventually under the legendary Austrian craftsman Dietmar “The Guru” Scheidle. This charismatic master brought groundbreaking German paint and smash repair technology to Australia in the '80s and became known for his precision, eccentric brilliance, and haunting wisdom.

We mention this not just for nostalgia, but because there’s a connecting theme: fixing what’s been broken. In that world, it was bent panels and crushed bodies. In this one, its nervous systems, souls, and stories. From cutting-edge tools and high standards to the reverence for detail — much of what Adz learned in that past life now informs the care, skill, and love he brings into every healing journey he supports.
